Chelsea Champion, LVT

Chelsea Champion, LVT, started her veterinary career in emergency medicine in 2014 at the Animal Emergency Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. Following her move to Florida in 2016, she began working at Specialized Veterinary Services with Dr. Eisele, where she developed a strong interest in surgery and anesthesia. While pursuing this passion over the years, she has enjoyed connecting with owners to reach a confident understanding of their pet’s anesthetic procedure, and providing reassurance that their pet is receiving the safest and highest-quality care.

Chelsea completed her Bachelor of Science at Grand Valley State University in 2014, then earned her veterinary technician license (LVT) in 2019. Shortly after, she was accepted as a member of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA) in 2020. During the span of her career, she has worked in collaboration with many board-certified surgeons and other highly-skilled clinicians to build a strong foundation in nursing centered on surgical patient care.

Under direction of veterinary anesthesiologists, she gained experience managing a variety of anesthetic procedures, including high-risk patients undergoing life-saving procedures. She has continued to pursue ongoing education in safe anesthesia and proper pain management, and is a current member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM).
